Over the last several decades, LDS Church leaders have spoken out frequently about the devastating consequences of abuse, and how healing from it can occur.    The tender concern of these leaders, together with their wise counsel, can be a comfort and a guide to those struggling with these challenges.  

Elder Richard G. Scott has had a particularly influential voice on this subject, extending compassion and hope to those impacted by the harmful actions of others.
